This is a Senior Engineer / Assistant Manager role (individual contributor) that requires
frequent travel across the APAC region (up to 60%) on short notice.
Role Summary
Join our client in a US Tech MNC as a
Regional Data Center Engineer
and help them to shape the future of cloud computing. You will be part of the Data Center Build Team responsible for the physical infrastructure that powers Cloud solutions across the globe. This role blends innovation with hands-on implementation of data center cabling systems and low-voltage infrastructure, ensuring scalable, efficient, and future-ready environments.

Key Scope
Coordinate implementation and support efforts for new and existing data centers
across multiple global locations
Onsite vendor management to deliver build out of data center infrastructure
Create and maintain documentation relating to cabling and build standards for data center infrastructure
Review Bill Of Materials to determine project scope of work
Creation of project scope of work to be distributed to vendors to obtain quotes
Participate in vendor bidding and selection process
Design and implement innovative structured cabling solutions for new data center builds and expansions
Deliver simple, sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes
Work closely with our Program Management team to ensure project deliverables are met
Collaborate with key project stakeholders and participate in vendor quarterly business reviews
Troubleshoot cabling infrastructure connectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords
Assist in creating global data centercabling and infrastructure standards
Requirements
6 to 8 years in data center cabling design & implementation (copper/fiber) and demonstrated ability to manage vendors
for multiple global projects
Strong knowledge of TIA cabling standards and best practices in data center build-outs
Familiarity with testing tools such as OTDR, power meters, and VFL
Expertise in structured cabling, fiber optic types (OM1-OS2), transceivers, and Cat 5e, Cat 6 standards
Proven knowledge of colocation data center critical environment infrastructure, covering both electrical and mechanical systems
Understanding of critical power and mechanical infrastructure within colocation or enterprise data centers
Hands-on experience drafting RFI, RFQ, or RFP documentation for infrastructure projects
Customer-centric mindset, focused on delivering a seamless and positive experience for all stakeholders
Problem-solver with technical acumen, capable of troubleshooting cabling and infrastructure issues in complex environments
Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external vendors
Willing to travel within short notice

Annual remuneration package up to SGD156k (subject to candidate's overall relevant experience)
12 months contract (renewable)
