About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Contracts Assistant to support our contracts and project management team. The successful candidate will assist in preparing, reviewing, and administering contract documents. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and an interest in construction contracts and project administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing, reviewing, and maintaining contract documents, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
- Support contract negotiations by gathering information and drafting supporting documentation.
- Track contract status, key deadlines, and deliverables to ensure compliance.
- Maintain accurate and organized contract records and filing systems.
- Assist with change orders, variations, extensions, and contract close-out procedures.
- Communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure clarity of contract requirements.
- Provide administrative support to the contracts and project management team.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, Law, or related field (or relevant experience).
- Prior experience in contract administration, project coordination, or construction administration is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and documentation (preferred).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with contract management software is an advantage.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
