What you'll do (Singaporebased): you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the organisation\'s supply chain by developing holistic strategies that span sourcing through to supplier relationship management. You will collaborate with internal teams to optimise procurement processes while ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. You will lead contract negotiations with suppliers, oversee performance reviews, coordinate product returns or recalls when necessary, and provide actionable insights through detailed reporting. Success includes achieving cost savings while upholding high standards of ethics and sustainability in sourcing. Develop, plan, and execute strategic sourcing initiatives that identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers to support organisational growth across multiple industries. Lead contract negotiations and manage supplier agreements to achieve cost savings while ensuring value creation and reliable delivery performance. Align procurement strategies with business objectives by integrating trade compliance and inventory optimisation into daily operations. Leverage market intelligence, cost analysis, and benchmarking data to drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance competitive advantage. Promote ethical and sustainable sourcing practices reflecting integrity and respect throughout procurement activities. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure product quality, service reliability, and operational excellence. Oversee supplier qualification processes including audits and performance reviews while mitigating supply risks related to quality or delivery. Negotiate long-term agreements and implement cost-improvement programmes that foster innovation and collaboration with key suppliers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline procurement workflows for improved efficiency, transparency, and regulatory compliance. Monitor procurement metrics such as cost performance, supplier reliability, and on-time delivery; prepare management reports highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities. What you bring Proven experience managing complex procurement projects within highly regulated industries such as Oil & Gas or Chemicals; hands-on involvement with contract negotiation, supplier evaluation, compliance monitoring, and process optimisation. Interpersonal skills to nurture relationships inside the company and with suppliers; commitment to ethical conduct across the sourcing cycle. Technical proficiency with ERP systems like SAP and ability to communicate clearly in reports and meetings. A bachelor\'s degree in supply chain management or related discipline. At least five years\' experience in strategic procurement or sourcing within Oil & Gas, Chemical or related industries, ideally hardware related (tubing / piping / sensor / gauge). Strong understanding of international trade regulations including export controls (ECCN), COO requirements, and compliance standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems (e.g., SAP). Professional certification such as APICS CSCP or CIPS (or equivalent) would be advantageous. Excellent analytical skills to collate data from diverse sources and present actionable recommendations. Strong written and spoken English communication skills for building rapport with suppliers and presenting findings to senior stakeholders.
