Volunteer: Marketing + Communications Volunteer Placement (online and in-person) in Peru
at Global Nomadic. Location: Talara, Peru. Duration: Minimum 2 weeks, maximum 6 months. Start Dates: Project is ongoing, and you can join at any time, depending upon availability. Cost for the in-person placement: from $1466 USD for the first 2 weeks + from $608 for each additional week. Cost for the online placement: from $1081 USD for the first 2 weeks + from $415 for each additional week.
Introduction / About the Organization
This project is with a surfing-inspired sustainable development non-profit (NGO) driving the development of poor Peruvian coastal communities through a path of sustainability. We develop environmental, educational, infrastructure and socio-economic projects working hand in hand with local communities and international interns. The project is based in Lobitos, northern Peru.

Responsibilities
As a Marketing + Communications Intern, you will be given ownership of the organization's outreach projects, working alongside Directors and other interns to promote our development initiatives. The daily activities and tasks may vary depending on current projects.
Social media content creation for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter; gather content for posts and coordinate with other intern teams to ensure accurate representation; manage online fundraising platforms.
Photography and videography to create engaging visuals; capture community events, planting days, partner shoots, and biodiversity; use wildlife camera to showcase biodiversity; develop creative materials.
Coordination of the design of promotional material for the organization and its partners; design merchandise; maintain organized materials; liaise with directors and partners.
Communication with our team at home and abroad; engage with Lobitos community; organize and promote workshops and in-person community events; communicate with current and potential global donors; create newsletters and coordinate webinars and online fundraising events.
Online Program activities: marketing research for upcoming initiatives; content curation; creation of graphic elements; implementation of marketing and communication goals; monitor engagement on our online channels.
