Role Overview The Director, Marketing Partnerships is responsible for driving strategic commercial growth by developing, pitching, and securing marketing partnerships with Japanese brands across Asia. The role plays a key part in a coordinated APAC-wide sales approach to maximise revenue opportunities for the Company’s primary global and regional assets. You will work closely with regional sales teams, property leads, and global stakeholders to deliver integrated partnership solutions that meet client objectives and strengthen the Company’s position with Japanese advertisers seeking APAC-scale marketing impact. Key Responsibilities 1. Business Development & Sales Lead the acquisition of new marketing partnership deals with Japanese brands across key Asian markets. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospects aligned with the Company’s core assets. Drive full sales cycle: prospecting, outreach, pitch development, proposal crafting, deal negotiation, and closing. Collaborate with APAC sales teams to ensure a unified, coordinated market approach. 2. Client & Stakeholder Management Develop senior-level relationships with decision-makers in Japanese corporations, agencies, and brand marketing teams. Work with internal stakeholders (property, commercial, marketing, legal) to develop partnership solutions tailored to client needs. Act as the regional point-of-contact for Japan-originated clients. 3. Strategy & Market Insights Identify commercial trends, category opportunities, and competitive insights within the Japan-to-APAC advertiser landscape. Provide market intelligence and strategic recommendations to APAC leadership. Shape go-to-market narratives and sales materials for Japanese client engagement. 4. Partnership Development & Execution Support Collaborate with partnership management teams to ensure smooth execution and fulfilment of signed deals. Monitor performance of partnerships and support renewal discussions where relevant. 5. Internal Collaboration Coordinate closely with APAC and Global Sales & Marketing Partnerships teams. Contribute to regional commercial planning, forecasting, and reporting. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA is a plus. 10+ years’ experience in sponsorship sales, media sales, or marketing partnerships, ideally with exposure to Japanese brands or Japan market. Proven track record in high-value deal-making and regional client engagement. Strong understanding of brand marketing, integrated campaigns, and commercial sponsorships. Fluency in English; proficiency in Japanese highly preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
