Assistant Tender Manager – Electrical (M&E)

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Tender Manager to support our tendering and contract team in the Electrical (M&E) industry. This role plays a vital part in preparing and managing high-value project bids, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with technical and commercial requirements.

Location: Office-based
Salary: $5,000–$7,000 + $100 HP allowance

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll work closely with the Tender/Contract Manager to ensure smooth execution of tender preparation and submission. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting tender preparation, submission, and documentation from start to finish
  • Reviewing scope of work, commercial requirements, and identifying potential risks
  • Creating and maintaining tender files for proper tracking and monitoring
  • Preparing and following up on Requests for Quotations (RFQs) with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Collating price comparisons, costing summaries, and technical proposals for tender submissions
  • Reviewing addendum/corrigendum documents and updating costing and proposals accordingly
  • Maintaining accurate and organized tender documentation
  • Preparing presentation materials for tender interviews
  • Drafting bills of quantities, conducting quantity take-offs, and sourcing materials
  • Performing detailed breakdown pricing for accurate cost estimates
  • Coordinating with consultants, architects, and project stakeholders when required

We're seeking someone with strong analytical and organizational skills who thrives in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. The ideal candidate brings:

  • Proven experience in tendering or contract administration within the M&E Electrical industry
  • Strong understanding of tender processes, pricing schedules, and scope of work evaluation
  • Ability to analyze supplier quotations, perform cost comparisons, and prepare detailed costings
  • Proficiency in preparing technical and commercial tender documentation
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
  • Good communication skills to liaise with suppliers, consultants, and internal teams
