Job Title

A skilled Technical Solutions Expert is needed to provide innovative technical expertise to sales teams, understanding customer needs and transforming them into optimal solutions.

About the Role

  • Collaborate with sales to find optimal technical solutions for non-standard and modernisation cases.
  • Ensure clarity on solution scope, including KONE and possible third-party offerings.
  • Participate in customer meetings and answer technical questions when needed.
  • Select correct product platform for offering.
  • Propose solutions from all KONE business lines.

Solution Planning - Costing

  • Responsible for correct APF solution costings.
  • Involve CSE Engineer, Product to understand corporate and local materials costing.
  • Involve CSE Engineer, System to understand integration costing.
  • Involve Supply Line, installation, maintenance and project management to understand solution costs.

Solution Planning - Specs

  • Coordinate specification creation.
  • Perform initial and revised non-standard energy calculations.
  • Perform traffic analyses.
  • Accountable for technical site surveys.
  • Accountable for technical content of order.

Key Tasks in KONE Sales Process

  • Provide content for pre-tender and pre-booking reviews.
  • Execute holistic solution plan activities.
  • Lead full chain engineering teams on major projects.
  • Hand over engineering to CSE Engineer, Project.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Holistic understanding of different building types and customer segments.
  • Good solution and value-selling skills.
  • Excellent skills in understanding and translating customer needs.
  • Understanding of new construction and building modernisation processes.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of KONE current and future solutions.
  • Good knowledge of KONE solution-related codes and standards.
  • Good knowledge of environmental and sustainability requirements.
  • Good engineering tool skills.
  • Basic knowledge of competitors' technical solutions.
  • VB Specific knowledge: Conducting site surveys, existing building modernisation/installation methods.
  • Good understanding of all required elements for solution total costing.
