Operating in over 60 countries with offices in the USA, UK, Australia, and India, JoVE is a rapidly growing company looking for talented and ambitious individuals to join our team.We are currently looking for a results-driven individual to take on the role of leading the scientific manuscript publication process for our renowned JoVE Journal. This position will involve overseeing cross-functional teams responsible for peer review, content writing, and video production to ensure the timely delivery of a high volume of scientific publications.**Responsibilities:**- Lead and manage the JoVE Journal teams, comprising Peer Review Editors, Content Writers, and Video Production staff, to ensure efficient publishing operations.- Supervise the entire manuscript workflow from peer review to publication, ensuring timeliness, quality, and compliance with journal standards.- Identify inefficiencies and process bottlenecks, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance throughput and reduce publication timelines.- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies such as AI to optimize workflows, boost productivity, and enhance the author experience.- Establish team KPIs and departmental goals, monitor performance, and enforce accountability.- Uphold scientific rigor and editorial excellence in all published content to align with JoVE's standards.- Identify opportunities for new journal sections or special issues in response to emerging research trends.**Requirements:**- A Masters or Ph.D. in life sciences.- 10+ years of experience in academic, scientific publishing, or edtech content production, with a specialization in managing publication workflows.- 7+ years of proven management experience.- Strong knowledge of peer review, open access trends, and evolving scientific publishing models.- Experience with digital publishing technologies, Content Management Systems (CMS), and workflow automation tools.- Demonstrated ability to integrate technology and digital tools to enhance publishing workflows, quality, and efficiency; familiarity with AI-based or automated solutions is a strong advantage.- Exceptional attention to detail and excellent communication skills.- Self-starter with a results-driven mindset who thrives in a fast-paced environment.- Experience working in a global environment is a strong asset.**Why JoVE **- Make a direct impact on accelerating scientific research and improving student learning in science education.- Opportunity to collaborate with a diverse and international team.- Our strong promotion from within culture provides a clear path for advancing your career within the company.,
