Patisserie Professional

As a Patisserie Professional, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and cooking pastry menu items to meet the high standards of our restaurant.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a skilled pastry chef. You will work closely with our Sous Chef and Head Chef to develop and plan pastry menus that showcase your creativity and culinary expertise.

  • Assist in the creation of new pastry dishes and menus, including consideration of future food trends and customer preferences.
  • Ensure timely preparation and delivery of pastry orders, meeting our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Train and instruct other chefs in food preparation and cooking techniques, promoting a culture of excellence within our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing stock levels, deliveries, and waste, ensuring that our kitchen runs efficiently and effectively.
  • Executing standard recipes and cooking techniques, maintaining consistency in our pastry offerings.
  • Maintaining a thorough understanding of food costing, sales mix, and menu planning, making informed decisions to optimize profitability.
  • Enforcing controls to minimize waste and pilferage, upholding the highest standards of sanitation, cleanliness, and safety throughout our kitchen areas.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in pastry arts, with experience working in a commercial kitchen environment.
  • Excellent culinary skills, including knowledge of pastry ingredients, cooking techniques, and presentation methods.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other chefs and kitchen staff.
