Our client is actively searching for a Field Application Engineer (Radio Frequency) to join their team If you are a dynamic individual seeking a new career opportunity, read further The RF Field Application Engineer (FAE) will work closely with customers to understand their technical requirements, assist in product development, and provide pre- and post-sales technical support for RF Wireless solutions. This role combines engineering expertise with strong customer‑facing skills to ensure successful implementation, troubleshooting, design‑in and performance optimization for various applications. The responsibilities of this role are: Customer Support & Consultation Provide front-line technical support for RF Wireless customers. Provide expert-level pre- and post-sales support, technical guidance for RF-related applications. Understanding customers’ use cases and expected applications and help to troubleshoot at all levels. Work proactively to propose solutions such as demos, proof-of-concepts (POCs), technical designs, and solution proposals. Design & Development Ability to identify signal chain of RF Wireless Equipment. Develop reference designs and demo applications to showcase RF Wireless solutions for specific customer use cases. Assist customers in implementing RF Wireless design‑in, including writing technical specifications, recommending suitable components and modules, integrating RF Wireless component designs into larger systems. Training & Documentation Prepare and execute technical seminars, workshops, and training sessions to educate customers on RF Wireless technologies, design flow, application / product training and best practices. Create and maintain user-friendly technical documentation, application notes, and whitepapers to help customers with their RF Wireless implementation process. Product Feedback & Market Insights Collect and communicate customer feedback on product features, requirements, and issues to the product management and engineering teams. Assist in the development of new RF Wireless/BT/WLAN products or features based on customer needs and market trends. Stay up to date with the latest RF Wireless/BT/WLAN technology trends, tools, and industry best practices. Collaboration Work closely with sales and marketing teams to provide technical support during the sales process, including product demonstrations and customer presentations. Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently as well as part of a team. Positive attitude and eagerness to contribute to a collaborative workplace. The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience: 5+ years experience in RF/Microwave electronics engineering applications area. Previous experience in a customer‑facing role is a must. Possess strong technical knowledge of RF Wireless technologies, e.g. Cellular/RF Microwave and understanding RF principles such as RF/microwave circuit design/schematic layout, applications and test results. Familiarity with RF test equipment (VNAs, spectrum analysers, signal generators, etc.). Good experience in RMA and recall issue handling, 3rd party rework support. Knowledge of IoT Technologies (Bluetooth/WLAN/Lorawan/Sigfox) will be an advantage. Understanding of industry‑specific applications, such as automotive ADAS, 5G, or satellite systems will be a plus. The FAE should have the ability to work with Sales and Marketing representatives to develop new customers and business. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders. Ability to travel is needed to support customers.
