We are now looking for a
Manager, Corporate Development . Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Development this is a full-time and permanent position based in Singapore. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Corporate Development team in Asia and senior executives across our global business. The role holder will be a key contributor to future M&A deals to expand our presence in existing and new geographies and product / service categories. The role will be responsible for executing and closing acquisitions and divestments as well as supporting other corporate development initiatives.
Key responsibilities
Deal Pipeline Support: Support the maintaining of a pipeline of potential M&A targets.
Deal Process Support: Assist the M&A process from initial sourcing of opportunities through until completion, including performing preliminary assessment on potential targets, coordinating cross-functional due diligence teams, and recommend to management on feasibility of a transaction. Support the evaluation of potential revenue, cost synergies, and other key issues or concerns related to acquisitions and divestitures.
Financial and M&A Modelling: Develop detailed financial and M&A models to support decision-making. Analyse financials to forecast outcomes and assess the viability of each transaction against key strategic objectives and targets.
Investment Material Creation: Prepare investment papers and supporting materials for the assessment and approval of each transaction.
Cross-functional Teaming: Work with internal business segments (commercial, operations, legal, financial, tax, HR, IT, etc.) and external advisors (investment banks, accounting, legal, tax, etc.), to ensure all aspects of the transaction (acquisition or divestment) are handled effectively.
Industry Research: Conduct industry research to support the inorganic growth strategy, including the identification of potential M&A targets and analysis of comparable transactions and trading benchmarks.
Key requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, CFA) preferred
5 to 7 years proven experience in M&A execution within Big 4 or Investment Banking, including performing financial due diligence for M&A transactions;
Strong sense of responsibility and able to work under pressure and independently;
Strong financial modelling and valuation skills is preferred
Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders and ability to work as a team player;
Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint applications; and
High level of analytical rigor, attention to detail, and strategic thinking
