Overview
The Systems Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, testing, and support of integrated security and ICT solutions (CCTV, Access Control, Networking, Servers, etc.) for enterprise and government clients. This role involves close collaboration with the sales, project, and support teams to ensure successful delivery of turnkey solutions that meet client requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
System Design & Engineering: Translate client requirements, tender specifications, and SORs into detailed system designs and integration plans. Design CCTV, access control, networking, server, and storage solutions using vendor technologies (e.g., Axis, Verkada, Avigilon, Gallagher, Aruba, H3C). Prepare system schematics, block diagrams, and equipment lists (BOQ). Evaluate and recommend hardware/software solutions to achieve optimal performance, scalability, and compliance with local regulations (e.g., SCDF, IMDA, PDPA).
Project Implementation: Perform system setup, installation, and configuration of servers, switches, cameras, controllers, and security devices. Conduct site surveys, cabling assessments, and network readiness checks. Integrate third-party subsystems (LPR, RFID, intercoms, alarm panels, fire systems) into the overall solution. Perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and commissioning with clients.
Project Support & Documentation: Provide technical support to Project Managers during execution phases. Produce as-built documentation, system manuals, and test reports. Maintain accurate records of configuration, versions, and system dependencies. Ensure proper handover to clients and internal maintenance teams.
Client Engagement: Attend technical meetings, presentations, and site demonstrations with clients and consultants. Provide pre-sales support by reviewing tender specs and advising on technical feasibility. Conduct user training sessions and develop operation manuals. Act as a trusted advisor to clients on system expansion, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
Maintenance & Support: Provide post-implementation technical support and troubleshooting (onsite and remote). Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for deployed systems under AMC contracts. Collaborate with vendors/suppliers for warranty claims, RMAs, and firmware/patch updates. Monitor and maintain system health to ensure uptime and compliance with SLA.
Requirements
Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering, IT, or related field.
Hands-on experience with security systems (CCTV, ACS, intercom, VMS) and networking (LAN/WAN, switches, firewalls).
Knowledge of Windows/Linux servers, virtualization, and storage technologies.
Familiarity with structured cabling standards, IP addressing, and network troubleshooting.
Strong documentation and communication skills for client engagement.
Independent, resourceful, and able to work under tight project timelines.
