Services- Market Segment Lead - PaaS & Core Trade Asia (Director)
Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) is a market leading provider of cash management, cards and trade solutions to financial institutions, public sector, and corporate clients around the world. TTS is a highly innovative organization with a strong digital agenda; new products and services are continuously developed to meet evolving treasury requirements and unlock opportunities for growth. Trade is part of the Treasury & Trade Solutions (TTS) business of Citi, covering Documentary Services, Trade and Working Capital Loans, Receivables Finance, and Payables Finance and EAF. The Product Management and Product Development functions work with Trade Architecture and Controls to deliver the full suite of solutions.
Services - Market Segment Lead – PaaS & Core Trade Asia – Director
In this position you will be responsible for developing and leading the strategic roadmap for High Value Corporate Client engagement across the Core Trade Product in Asia. You will also be the Accountable executive for our Platform as a Service (PaaS) offering. You will drive revenues in the Asia franchise, providing management and oversight of our PaaS relationships, ensuring our solutions meet client needs while driving innovation, scalability, and operational excellence. This role requires a strategic thinker, technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a passion for transforming the trade ecosystem through technology.
Key Responsibilities
High Value Client Segment
Develop a strategic roadmap for High Value Corporate client engagement across Asian clients and Asian flows, and capability deployment to maximize client opportunities.
Understand regional differences of client segments/clients and adapt global strategies accordingly.
Partner with Trade Sales and Client coverage teams to drive execution of global strategies for these flows.
Collaborate with trade sales and client coverage teams to maintain Share Of Mind for Core Trade products and highlight its importance to clients.
Ensure accountability of partner groups to pitch Core Trade products to their clients and achieve targets.
Drive client value propositions, positioning, segmentation, pricing, targeting, channel strategies, and competitive differentiation to achieve preferred status.
Manage client and competitor market research, develop product innovation roadmap, identify gaps in Citi’s product offering via feedback from Trade Sales, Client coverage and direct client input.
Work with Core Trade Product groups to identify gaps and prioritize solutions.
Drive achievement of segment financial performance, revenue performance, and expense management goals and other identified KPIs.
Lead innovation by working with external partners/alliances to develop products and manage ongoing relationships.
Assess risk in business decisions with emphasis on the firm’s reputation, compliance, and ethical standards, and supervise others appropriately.
Platform as a Service
Accountable Executive for the PaaS Solution
Maintain relationships with PaaS clients
Oversee delivery of PaaS solution
Work with partners to drive strategic development and delivery of the optimal PaaS solution
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
MBA or equivalent business experience is good to have.
10+ years of experience in client-facing leadership roles.
Proven track record of client delivery driving significant revenue growth.
Strong knowledge of trade finance, supply chain, or logistics domains is highly desirable.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to navigate complex, fast-paced environments and drive results.
