Luxury Food Preparation Specialist

The role of Demi Chef is crucial in maintaining the high standards of food preparation and presentation that Sofitel guests expect.
This sought-after position requires a passion for excellence and a can-do attitude. The ideal candidate will be able to excel within a luxury environment and demonstrate excellent organisational skills, communication skills and a dedication to exceeding customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and check food to ensure quality and presentation meet Sofitel's high standards;
- Assist the Sous Chef/Junior Sous Chef in food preparation and kitchen operations;
- Weigh and measure ingredients accurately to maintain consistency and quality;
- Store foods in designated areas, adhering to temperature requirements and food spoilage guidelines;
- Perform other duties as assigned by the management team.
Required Skills:
- Prior experience in a five-star environment;
- Strong knowledge of French cuisine and cooking techniques;
- Excellent organisational and time management skills;
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Familiarity with inventory management and food safety protocols.
