Plant Maintenance Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Plant Maintenance Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience working with heavy machinery maintenance and multi-product environments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local regulations, designing plant maintenance programs, and reducing downtime. Additionally, the specialist will evaluate production activities, prepare reports on plant machines and equipment, and collaborate with other departments to maintain mechanical integrity.
The Plant Maintenance Specialist will also perform regular audits and inspections on maintenance programs, design and implement preventive maintenance programs, and monitor plant operations to assist in scheduling maintenance plans for machines and tools.
Other responsibilities include recommending and implementing improvements to products, work sequences, or processes; managing plant equipment inventories; inspecting new machines for specification compliance; and overseeing quality of repairs.
In addition to technical skills, we are looking for candidates with strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be proactive, resourceful, and cost-conscious with a drive for results.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 2-5 years of relevant experience (senior role available for candidates with more experience)
- Experience with heavy machinery maintenance and multi-product environments is preferred
- Knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems, and diagnostics
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
- Proactive, resourceful, and cost-conscious with a drive for results
