Role Profile:
As a
Senior Interior Designer
at Unispace in Singapore, you will play a pivotal role in shaping innovative and functional workplace environments for our diverse client base. You\'ll be responsible for leading design projects from concept through to successful completion, ensuring that all designs align with client objectives, brand identity, and the highest standards of aesthetic appeal and functionality. This role requires a blend of creative vision, strong technical proficiency, and excellent client engagement skills within our integrated design and build methodology.
Responsibilities:
Lead the conceptualization and development of interior design solutions, translating client briefs and strategic insights into compelling design concepts.
Prepare and present design proposals, mood boards, material palettes, and detailed design documentation to clients with strong presentation skills.
Develop comprehensive space plans that optimize functionality, flow, and user experience, adhering to local regulations and best practices.
Produce high-quality technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation using
Revit
and
SketchUp , ensuring accuracy and constructability.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including strategists, architects, estimators, and construction managers, to ensure seamless project delivery from initial concept to final handover.
Select and specify furniture, fixtures, equipment (FF&E), and finishes, maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of local and international trends, materials, and suppliers.
Act as a primary
client-facing
contact throughout the design process, managing client expectations, incorporating feedback, and fostering strong, collaborative relationships.
Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor design implementation and quality throughout the construction phase.
Mentor and guide junior designers, contributing to their professional development and ensuring design excellence across projects.
Maintain project timelines and budgets for the design phase, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
About You:
Bachelor\'s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture.
Proven experience as a Senior Interior Designer (typically 7+ years), with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of successful commercial workplace projects in Singapore or the APAC region.
Expert proficiency in design software, including
Revit
(essential),
SketchUp , and
InDesign .
Exceptional
space planning
abilities, with a deep understanding of workplace strategy and user experience.
Excellent
client-facing
and presentation skills, capable of articulating design concepts clearly and persuasively to diverse stakeholders.
Strong understanding of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards in Singapore.
Highly creative with a keen eye for detail, materials, and finishes.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and collaborate effectively within a team.
Proactive, problem-solving mindset with a commitment to design excellence.
