Electronics Manufacturing Engineer

This role reports to the Senior Manager and is accountable for all technical and quality issues related to assigned electronic subassemblies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle daily production escalations, provide strong technical support to resolve issues and ensure systems meet shipment schedules as planned.
  • Provide solutions to engineers when there are field escalations.
  • Dispose of non-conforming products and work closely with PCBA suppliers on quality and process continuous improvement.
  • Respond to failure analysis and provide comprehensive analysis reports to engineering teams or customers.
  • Implement corrective actions to fix problems systematically.
  • Work with material teams on product cost reductions, EOL component replacements, relocation of manufacturing sites, and engineering support.
  • Write Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) for product changes and ensure proper implementation.
  • Audit supplier processes and quality control if necessary.
  • Support design teams on Integrated Circuit Testing (ICT) and functional test setup, understand product test theory, and provide guidance on repair and troubleshooting.
  • Represent manufacturing in Product Change Approval (PCA) design reviews, provide inputs to design teams to ensure new designs meet Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT) requirements.
  • Collaborate with PCA design teams and manufacturing system teams to introduce new designed tools to production.
