The Regional Quality Leader is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing quality management systems and related strategies in Food Solutions regionally.
Ensures that the company's products and services consistently meet or exceed regulatory standards and customer expectations in all overseas Food Solutions Business units and aligned with Singapore Food units
Work closely with Food senior management, regional teams and external stakeholders to drive quality improvements, ensure compliance, and foster a culture of excellence.
Work closely with SG Quality Control Leader to align quality management systems regionally and SIN HQ business units
Key business dimensions
Current revenue: S$1 billion. Will grow to S$ 2 billion in 5 years’ time.
Kitchens in Singapore, China, India, Thailand, Japan and other countries under JV setup
A total of xxx employees under quality team.
Operationally reporting to 3 tier network leader and oversight by FS CEO - TBC
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Develop and implement a differentiated quality assurance strategy aligned with FS business objectives and meeting customers and stakeholders’ requirements.
Set quality assurance goals and KPIs, and drive initiatives to achieve them.
Collaborate with senior management to integrate quality management practices into the overall business strategy, foster a culture of excellence
Regional Quality Management
Work with regional BU leads to develop, implement and maintenance of quality management systems and processes regionally and aligning with Singapore HQ Food units
Ensure compliance with regional industry regulations, standards, and company policies.
Lead efforts to achieve and maintain certifications (e.g., ISO, GMP).
Develop and deliver training programs on food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
Ensure that all employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to uphold quality and safety standards.
Regional Process Improvement
Identify opportunities for quality improvements and lead initiatives to enhance processes and systems.
Implement and monitor quality control and assurance processes.
Use data and analytics to drive decisions and demonstrate the impact of quality initiatives.
Identify and mitigate quality-related risks and ensure effective crisis management.
Develop and implement risk assessment and management strategies.
Lead the investigation of any quality incidents, propose and implement corrective interventions in a systematic way.
Reporting and Compliance
Prepare and present regular reports on quality performance and improvement initiatives to senior management.
Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of quality metrics and compliance issues.
Lead to prepare and present quality reports to SATS Board and management with support from SQ Quality Control Leader
Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the regional primary point of contact for quality-related matters in FS.
Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to address quality issues and ensure satisfaction.
Represent the company in quality audits, inspections, and meetings.
Manage and mentor quality teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure the team’s development and effectiveness.
Drive the collaboration across BUs.
Build capabilities available across the organization
Qualifications
At least 15 years of experience in food safety and quality management at APAC level, with a strong background in regulatory compliance and quality assurance.
Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and quality management systems (e.g., GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000).
Ability to drive continuous improvement and foster a culture of quality.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of driving quality improvements.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
