Senior Software Development Engineer Job

Job Overview

The role of a Senior Software Development Engineer involves joining a team of experts in graphics accelerator diagnostics to develop cutting-edge applications for GPUs. As part of this team, you will design and implement diagnostic tools, craft verification plans, and analyze/debug results.

This position requires collaboration with hardware architects and logic designers to address functional issues, as well as with customer support engineers to resolve testing deficiencies.

Main Responsibilities

  • Diagnostics Application Development: Plan, design, develop, debug, and optimize functional and stress tests for machine learning and HPC GPU accelerators.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with hardware architects and logic designers to resolve functional issues, and with customer support engineers to address verification deficiencies.
  • Methodology Research: Research, evaluate, and adopt evolving diagnostics methodologies to verify complex ASIC designs under demanding production schedules.
  • SOC IP Feature Verification: Own SoC IP feature verification planning and test development from pre-silicon through post-silicon stages.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in diagnostic or verification environments, with a focus on ASIC system-level testing.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming in C++.
  • GPU programming experience (OpenCL, CUDA, HIP) is a plus.
  • Software development experience in Linux.
  • Strong combination of large-scale software development and hardware knowledge.
  • Experience with SoC bring up is a plus.
  • Understanding of RTL design practices and tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Machine Learning (CNN, RNN, FNN) and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or DirectML is a plus.

Academic Credentials

  • BSEE, CSEE, BSCpE, or BSCS; MS preferred.
