Job description The Baggage Associate is responsible for assisting and supporting the Baggage Service Crew to ensure efficient and accurate baggage handling operations. The role involves supervising staff, overseeing the sorting, tagging, and loading of baggage, and ensuring timely and safe transportation to the correct aircraft. The Baggage Associate plays a crucial role in maintaining the smooth flow of baggage services, ensuring customer satisfaction, and adhering to safety standards. The position reports directly to the Duty Manager (Baggage). Key Responsibilities Baggage Sorting & Tagging Baggage Handling & Offloading Tractor & Equipment Maintenance Record Keeping General Housekeeping & Safety Lost & Found Handling Procedures Arrival Claim & Tracing Procedures Claims Administration Perform any other duties assigned by the superiors as required Key Requirements Experience: Possess a valid Class 3 driving license (an added advantage). Skills & Abilities: Ability to work autonomously and make sound decisions in fast-paced situations. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Open to picking up new skills and adapting to changing operational needs. Strong ability to collaborate with a diverse team and contribute to collective goals. Maintains a constructive and professional attitude towards work, even in challenging situations. Strong attention to detail, able to analyze and resolve operational issues quickly and efficiently.
