Job Title: Operational Specialist

Job Description

As an Operational Specialist, you will be responsible for carrying out field operations activities in line with operational guidelines. This includes identifying and reporting on defective plant and equipment, monitoring and logging equipment operation data, responding to system exigencies, and performing routine plant tests and periodic auxiliary equipment changeover.

You will also assist CCR staff in maintaining accurate records of key operational events, monitor performance, and maintain optimum unit efficiency in operations. Additionally, you will investigate plant abnormalities, recommend courses of action, and prepare generating units for streamlining in accordance with real-time dispatch schedules.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Preferably Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Diploma holder with 2-5 years' experience in Combined Cycle Power Plants or related industries.
  • Higher NITEC with 7-10 years' experience in Combined Cycle Power Plants or related industries.
  • Self-motivated, independent, possess sound analytical and communication skills, and is a team player.
  • Possesses good knowledge of plant processes and operations.
  • Must not be suffering from colour blindness due to work requirement to handle equipment or machinery.
