Job Description:

The Compliance Surveillance Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the organization's trading activities comply with regulatory requirements. This involves conducting daily trade and market surveillance to detect irregularities, potential market abuse, or breaches of trading rules.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in trading compliance or derivatives trading surveillance and possess strong knowledge of MAS regulations and exchange trading rules. They should also have an analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex trading data and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily trade and market surveillance to detect irregularities, potential market abuse, or breaches of trading rules.
  • Support investigations into suspicious trading activities and escalate issues where required.
  • Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to MAS regulations and internal policies.
  • Prepare reports and maintain documentation for regulatory submissions and audits.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of surveillance systems, controls, and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in trading compliance or derivatives trading surveillance is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of MAS regulations and exchange trading rules.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex trading data.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Team player with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach.
