Compliance Expert - Drive Global Trade Operations

This role offers the opportunity to work in a challenging environment where you can leverage your expertise in global trade compliance to drive business success.

Job Description:
  • Classification and documentation: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to prepare, review, and maintain import/export documents and classifications.
  • Trade operations oversight: Coordinate with freight forwarders, transportation providers, and customers to resolve shipping discrepancies.
  • Risk and issue management: Identify and escalate trade risks, compliance issues, and product/project status to ensure seamless operations.
  • Regulatory compliance: Ensure adherence to global trade laws and regulations, focusing on APAC regional requirements.
  • Process and policy development: Create, update, and enforce standard operating procedures to guarantee accuracy and efficiency in import/export processes.
  • Compliance reporting: Prepare, file, and maintain reports for leadership and regulatory agencies.
  • Stakeholder communication: Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on regulatory matters.
  • Government liaison: Communicate with customs authorities and government agencies regarding compliance matters.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Risk and Compliance Management Professional (CRCMP) preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the field of compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of global trade compliance regulations, import/export controls, and customs procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills, risk assessment, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills for liaising with regulators, legal teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.

This is a full-time position that requires a mid-to-senior level professional with expertise in project management, manufacturing, and data infrastructure and analytics sectors.
