Lead Hospital Operations Specialist

The Eastern General Hospital is a comprehensive healthcare facility that provides exceptional patient care and promotes healing centered around each individual. Our hospital seeks to be a great place for the community and an excellent workplace for our staff.

In this role, you will play a key part in establishing the Biomedical Engineering department by supporting the Development Secretariat and Hospital Planning Committee. Your primary duties include ensuring project execution, budget management, and quality standards align with our established programme.

Your responsibilities will include conducting end-user briefings, defining operations requirements for our biomedical systems, collaborating with technology partners to design and implement BME systems, and establishing guidelines and project timelines. You will lead the development and review of related policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks.

Additionally, you will lead and facilitate workshops and meetings with various project stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression. Your expertise and experience will help drive the success of our hospital operations team.

  • A recognised degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering or related fields is required.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in hospital operations, preferably in a healthcare sector, is essential.
  • Strong knowledge and skills in design thinking, change management, project management, technology adoption, and process methodologies are necessary.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders in a dynamic and growing organisation.
  • A team player who is highly motivated, action-oriented, and possesses excellent planning, analytical, and critical thinking skills is ideal.
  • Able to work under pressure, adapt to change, and manage challenges effectively.
  • Familiar with AutoCAD, Photoshop, and/or presentation software.
