Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments to develop personalized treatment plans and optimize resident outcomes.
  • Provide hands-on physiotherapy treatments, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, gait training, and modalities.
  • Assess and manage pain through various techniques to promote comfort and well-being.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based rehabilitation programs and protocols to drive quality care.
  • Educate residents and families on rehabilitation goals, treatment plans, and home exercise programs to empower informed decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
  • Valid license or registration to practice as a physiotherapist in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Proven experience as a physiotherapist in a geriatric or long-term care setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of physiotherapy principles and techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality improvement initiatives in healthcare.
