Do you want to play a crucial role in driving the growth of our products? We are looking for an experienced and proactive Chief Marketing Officer to join our fast-growing maritime tech company.
We are growing, and today we are a team with 17 full-time employees and 2 part-time employees with different backgrounds, skills, and knowledge. We have a solid knowledge and understanding of the shipping industry and a reliable maritime network.
You need to have knowledge of or experience from shipping.
About Maritime OptimaMaritime Optima AS was founded in May 2019. Today, we are privately funded by several tech entrepreneurs and shipping executives. We were awarded the Copernicus price and the Microsoft Startup program in 2019-2021. In 2023, we became a part of the Microsoft ISV Success Program.
Our company is located in modern offices in Vika Atrium in Oslo, but we want to build and grow a marketing team outside Norway. So in 2024, we intend to have presence in London and Singapore, as well as Oslo, so it is fine with us if you are located in any of these places.
We are working closely with the users while developing the products we offer. Today, we develop and distribute two Saa S products:
Ship Intel : A flexible and affordable team software for any company involved in maritime business. With Ship Intel our customers can make better decisions today, with tomorrow's maritime solution. Ship Intel’s first modules were launched in October 2022 as MVP. In October 2023, we officially launched the modular Ship Intel, and Ship Intel is growing very quickly. Ship Intel is available on the web and as a part of the Microsoft Office 365 portfolio. Ship Intel is also available on mobile.
Ship Atlas : An application for individuals and consumers interested in following ships. Ship Atlas was launched in August 2020 as a MVP product on the web, and in February 2022, we launched the mobile applications with different types of subscriptions. Users can download the application in the App Store, Google Play Store, or register on the web. Today, Ship Atlas has more than 330,000 registered users.

Your responsibilitiesYour overall responsibility will be to drive revenue by increasing sales through marketing activities.
You will be responsible for making and overseeing the marketing and advertising strategy. You will also be responsible for planning and execution.
You will be responsible for developing a global structure of the marketing activities for recruiting and building such units in London, Singapore, and Oslo.
You will be responsible for making the marketing budgets and the results.
You will be responsible for establishing leadership and training/guidance of the marketing team.
You will be a part of the Management Group.

Solid experience from marketing of software products (Saa S) with documented results
Knowledge of or experience from the shipping industry
Good knowledge of and experience in sales of office Saa S software.
Overall good IT skills and an understanding of software.
Education in sales or marketing is desirable, but relevant marketing experience compensates.
Professional working proficiency in English.
