Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Buy-Side Execution Trader - Japanese Equities Focused to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with Portfolio Managers, Brokers, and Fellow Traders to ensure timely and accurate execution of equity/futures/custom basket trades across markets for our strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Portfolio Managers, Brokers, and Fellow Traders to execute trades efficiently.
  • Monitor risk limits and ensure that orders are executed within the stipulated limits.
  • Ensure compliance with investment guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor intraday market conditions and adjust execution strategies accordingly.
  • Process and manage the return and borrowing of shares related to short selling.
  • Perform periodic reconciliation of various data sources on both OEMS and PMS.
  • Prepare and provide monthly market analysis to Investors.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects to improve/implement automation into our processes.
  • Provide ad hoc assistance in Risk Management/Marketing related tasks.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1-3 years of experience in financial markets (trading, operations, or related field) OR recent graduate with strong academic background in finance/economics.
  • Business-level Japanese proficiency preferred. Candidates with JLPT N3/N4 certification and demonstrated commitment to improving their Japanese language skills will also be considered.
  • Collaborative team player with strong multitasking abilities and resilience to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel is required. Experience with VBA, Python, and/or SQL will be considered favorably as value-add skills.
