Job Title:

Equities Trading Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Equities Trading Specialist to join our team. As an Equities Trading Specialist, you will be responsible for executing trades across various markets, ensuring timely and accurate execution of equity/futures/custom basket trades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with portfolio managers, brokers, and fellow traders to ensure timely and accurate execution of trades.
  • Monitor risk limits to ensure that orders are executed within stipulated limits.
  • Ensure compliance with investment guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor intraday market conditions and adjust execution strategies accordingly.
  • Process and manage the return and borrowing of shares related to short selling.
  • Assist in the application of IPOs/POs and management of certain Corporate Actions.
  • Perform periodic reconciliation of various data sources on both OEMS and PMS.
  • Prepare and provide monthly market analysis to investors.
Requirements:

To be successful as an Equities Trading Specialist, you should have:

  • 1-3 years of experience in financial markets (trading, operations, or related field) or recent graduate with strong academic background in finance/economics.
  • Business-level Japanese proficiency preferred.
  • Candidates with JLPT N3/N4 certification and demonstrated commitment to improving their Japanese language skills will also be considered.
  • Collaborative team player with strong multitasking abilities and resilience to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel required. Experience with VBA, Python, and/or SQL will be considered favorably as value-add skills.
