As a transplant coordinator, you are able to impact the lives of our patients and their families. You are required to identify potential donors from the pool of brain death and cardiac death in SingHealth hospitals. You will be part of the multidisciplinary team alongside the patients during their transplant journeys within our transplant programs in SingHealth. You will also support the Organ Donation Oversight Committee as a transplant advocate and assist in organ donation initiatives to create awareness to internal and external stakeholders.

You will acquire clinical knowledge (medical, surgical, human physiology and organ tissue-cell specific anatomies), be familiar with common ailments and chronic diseases and be well-versed with legislations that permit organ donation. You are required to order and understand basic interpretation of diagnostics and laboratory tests. You will perform on-call duties on a rotational basis to support the organ donation and transplant programmes.

You will also be trained to deliver care to more than one transplant program to support the strategic goals of SingHealth Duke-NUS Transplant Centre (SDTC) and be responsible to provide follow-up, education and care across the continuum from pre-transplant and post- transplant in accordance to established protocols and guidelines. You will also participate in transplant-related projects carried out by SDTC.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Nursing, Psychology or Life/Health Sciences
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with delicate and sensitive situations
  • Pleasant disposition and ability to work independently
  • Willing to perform on-call duties on a rotational basis and willing to learn
  • Able to multi-task and perform time-sensitive work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
  • Good team player and ability to work effective with multiple stakeholders
