Overview
We are looking for an experienced Transmission Network Engineer. This role involves the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced fiber optic transport systems, focusing on technologies such as DWDM, ROADM, ASON, and other Layer 1 and Layer 0 technologies. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring the successful deployment and ongoing performance of network systems.
Responsibilities
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot fiber optic transport systems, including DWDM, ROADM, ASON, and related technologies
Lead high-level and low-level design, developing implementation plans and guiding the deployment process
Collaborate with the Project Manager in network design, site preparation, and risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle
Oversee the buildout and daily operation of customer networks, ensuring optimal performance and stability
Perform network configurations, troubleshoot technical issues, and monitor system performance to meet customer specifications
Proactively identify potential issues and implement solutions to improve network performance and prevent disruptions
Respond promptly to network incidents, conducting root cause analysis and providing effective resolutions
Assist in preparing technical proposals and solution presentations to customers
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or related field
Expertise in network technologies such as SDH, MSTP, OTN, ASON
Proven experience in telecommunication project implementation, network planning, and cutover experience in SDH, MSTP, and WDM Networks
Strong skills in network device configuration and optimization for both efficiency and security
Proven project management and troubleshooting abilities
HCIA, CCNA, HDCP, or other related certifications are a plus
