We are seeking a highly skilled Transmission Network Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our network operations team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining our high-speed transmission networks.
Job Description:
As a Transmission Network Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our transmission networks. This includes planning, designing, and implementing new network infrastructure, as well as troubleshooting and resolving any issues that may arise.
You will work closely with our network management team to ensure that our networks are running efficiently and effectively, and that any outages or downtime are minimized.
In addition, you will be responsible for providing technical guidance and support to other teams within the organization, including our network engineering and operations teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year experience in telecommunications
- Strong knowledge of SONET/SDH/DWDM/L2 Switches networks
- Experience with researching, investigating, evaluating, and qualifying potential new equipment for network deployment
- Knowledge and background with AC and DC power systems, fiber optic transmission and transmission systems, and electrical cabling and transmission systems
- Experience with optical link loss budget analysis for DWDM and SONET/SDH optical links
- Proven problem-solving skills with experience and background in solving complex design, network, and circuit problems and issues
- Ability to engage with and communicate with customers, vendors, service providers, employees, and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner
