As the Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in deriving and presenting cost estimates based on proposed solution architectures and client-specific requirements. You will work with sales, solution architects, and product teams to analyze enterprise application designs—including licensing models, integration points, scalability needs, and deployment strategies—to develop accurate and competitive cost models. Your responsibilities include translating technical designs into financial implications, preparing total cost of ownership (TCO) analyses, and supporting value-based selling. You will engage with clients to explain cost drivers, justify pricing structures, and align solutions with business and budgetary goals, ensuring a smooth transition from proposal to implementation. Analyse the customer’s and other stakeholders’ needs using available means (e.g., advanced studies, simulations, mock-ups, models, prototypes). Responsibilities Perform the engineering requirements analysis Provide the required technical documentation: Design Documents (Preliminary, Final)Prepare and issue Statement of Works for suppliers and external contractors Define input/output requirements for Interfaces Management Contribute to specialty engineering: RAMS, EMC/EMI, Cyber-Security Contribute to Installation Management Assist the bid team to scope and cost engineering work packages Work with contractors to produce costing and ensure timely delivery Report and follow up KPIs for the sub-system Participate in progress meetings Analyse and respond to Change Requests Qualifications Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering or related discipline (essential)Demonstrated engineering competencies for INCOSE CSEP (or equivalent, or ASEP) desirable Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Engineering role Able to decipher technical scope from high-level requirements Experience with Governmental and/or complex IT Projects Strong oral and written communications skills Experience working on Software Security projects Experience working within a Systems Engineering lifecycle At Thales, we’re committed to fostering a workplace where respect, trust, collaboration, and passion drive everything we do.
