As a Calypso Application Analyst Programmer, you are responsible for supporting users of IT applications, responding to their requests, and resolving their incidents. You play a pivotal role between Business and all other IT roles on Run related topics, following CMI Run processes standards and recommendations shared by Run Control Tower and contributing to their improvement.
This role in Post trade IT for the FX IT division in Singapore is to support the Calypso "CIBOS" back-office package as part of the "run the bank" function. It requires a deep understanding of the nature of business operations, timing of activities, and data flowing through internal and external systems. The build and support team continuously works with business users, infrastructure engineers, and system managers.
Responsibilities
Resolve incidents impacting users swiftly and efficiently, ensuring thorough investigation and communication throughout the incident lifecycle.
Handle user requests promptly and effectively, prioritizing based on urgency and impact.
Drive sustainable solutions to prevent recurring issues by identifying root causes and proposing solutions.
Serve as the primary communication channel between IT and stakeholders, collaborating with other support engineers and users.
Follow CMI Run processes, standards, and recommendations provided by the Run Control Tower.
Application Monitoring: Define and implement necessary application monitoring for timely incident detection.
Manage incidents and requests from business users and other IT teams, providing level 2 application support.
Identify recurring problems and eliminate them while preparing and maintaining a knowledge base for applications.
Participate in change improvement activities, including release testing and production deployment.
Write and maintain programmable code outlined in technical instructions for software applications.
SKILLS
Must have
Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Programming & Systems Analysis.
5+ years of hands-on experience with Calypso as a back office.
Experience in supporting capital market applications and trading systems.
Experience on Calypso version 16.
Hands-on experience in Calypso Back office functionalities.
Understanding of financial assets and trade lifecycle.
Experience with regulatory reporting.
Basic knowledge of Java, PL/SQL & Linux.
Good knowledge in UNIX platform and database management systems.
Experience with automation frameworks and libraries.
Proficiency in scripting languages.
Valuable exposure to tools & technologies.
Experience in DevOps tooling.
Experience with Docker/Kubernetes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work under pressure.
