Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Centre Operations Expert to join our team. This role involves 24x7 monitoring and first-level support to ensure system availability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Support : Provide continuous operational support for data centres to maintain optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Monitoring and Response : Monitor system alerts and events from various tools, ensuring timely response and accurate ticket logging.
  • Batch Job Execution : Manage batch job execution to ensure completion within defined timeframes without impacting online operations.
  • On-Site Assistance : Deliver on-site assistance for critical support tasks, including hardware checks and coordination with remote teams.
  • Data Centre Security : Maintain the safety, security, and operational integrity of data centre environments at all times.
  • Issue Escalation : Escalate issues appropriately and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.
  • Documentation : Document incidents, shift handovers, and daily operational logs accurately.
  • Maintenance Checks : Perform routine equipment and infrastructure checks, escalating anomalies when necessary.

Requirements

  • A degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • 1–2 years of experience in IT operations or data centre environment is required.
  • Familiarity with system monitoring and job scheduling tools is essential.
  • Strong multitasking and analytical skills; able to handle high-volume alerts and tickets efficiently.
  • Willingness to work on rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Physical fitness to support on-site operational tasks in a secure environment.
  • Good teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
