Job Title: Marine Industry Supervisor

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Marine Industry Supervisor to lead a repair team in fulfilling ship repair jobs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To oversee the execution of ship repair jobs, ensuring timely completion and quality results.
  • To conduct routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs of mechanical equipment on board ships, including diesel engines, pumps, gearboxes, alternators, turbochargers, etc.
  • To troubleshoot mechanical issues on board vessels, utilizing technical expertise to resolve problems efficiently.
  • To plan and execute repair jobs in the most cost-effective manner, optimizing resources and minimizing downtime.
  • To maintain a clean and organized workshop environment, adhering to safety protocols and ensuring the availability of necessary tools and equipment.

Requirements:

  • A diploma or certificate in Marine Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 3 years' relevant working experience in the marine industry.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to read drawings and write detailed service reports using computer software.
  • Ability to work effectively in various environments, including on-site, on-ship, and in workshops.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and permit-to-work systems is essential.
