Job Title: Marine Repair Team Lead

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of skilled professionals in the marine repair industry.

  • Responsibilities include managing a team to complete ship repair jobs, both afloat and at the shipyard.
  • Carry out maintenance, service, and repair of all mechanical equipment on board ships, including diesel engines, pumps, gearboxes, couplings, alternators, turbochargers, and more.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical equipment on board vessels to ensure efficient repairs.
  • Plan and execute repairs in the most cost-effective manner possible.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workshop, ensuring tools and equipment are adequately maintained.
  • Attend to vessels during dry-dock as assigned by project managers.
  • Conduct retrofit jobs for new equipment installations on board vessels.
  • Train new team members to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance with company standards.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or certificate in Marine Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of three years' relevant working experience in the marine industry.
  • Ability to read drawings and write service reports using PC or tablet.
  • Willingness to work on-site, on ships, and in workshops.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and permit-to-work systems.
