About the Role:

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop comprehensive safety plans to ensure the well-being of vulnerable families and children.
  • Carry out meticulous social investigations, assessments, case formulations, and intervention planning to address complex issues.
  • Prepare timely and detailed reports and case recordings to facilitate effective decision-making.
  • Implement safety and intervention plans with precision and sensitivity to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Facilitate meetings, sessions, coaching with families, parents/caregivers to promote understanding and cooperation.
  • Develop wraparound services to support high-need families through advocacy, referrals, and collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide emotional support, guidance, and brief counseling to selected families/children/young persons to address specific needs.
  • Offer supervision to junior social workers to enhance their skills and confidence.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Social Work or Degree with a Graduate Diploma in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with child protection, mental health, and/or family violence issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment while maintaining composure and professionalism.
  • Maturity, communication skills, and interpersonal skills to engage with professionals and families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Capacity to engage and work effectively with children and adolescents.
  • Willingness to work two nights a week and weekends occasionally to accommodate client needs.
