Job Title: Biomedical Engineering Assistant

This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the smooth operation of medical devices within our healthcare environment.

About the Role:

  • Technical Support: As a Biomedical Engineering Assistant, you will provide expert technical assistance to healthcare staff in setting up, operating, servicing, and decommissioning medical devices, guaranteeing they meet required standards and industry best practices.
  • Equipment Maintenance: You will oversee external service providers and contractors carrying out equipment maintenance, ensuring work quality and adherence to relevant regulatory standards.
  • User Feedback: Gather and update user feedback on the upkeep, performance, dependability, and overall quality of medical devices.
  • Troubleshooting: Inspect, analyse, and troubleshoot reported faults, complaints, or safety issues, and support engineers in developing and executing appropriate corrective actions.
  • Inventory Management: Manage spare parts and frontline technical support inventory, assisting with documentation when needed.
  • Project Coordination: Support engineers in coordinating medical equipment projects with external vendors, consultants, and contractors.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Diploma in Electronics or Biomedical Engineering is preferred.
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant practical experience in a healthcare environment is advantageous.
  • Soft Skills: Service-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and ability to work effectively with staff at all levels.
  • Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in IT applications is expected.
