A Day in the Life Lead and build winning teams to further our mission: alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life by building products in a safe working environment with the highest quality and speed at the most optimal cost. Lead by example in the use of MPS (Medtronic Performance System) to drive continuous improvement and talent development. Develop, implement, and execute comprehensive operations strategies that assure success of the organization and accountability for safety, quality, production, cost, and people. Plan and administer budgets, including making budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor. Implement cost reduction, waste reduction, quality improvement, and productivity improvement programs to ensure attainment of key performance metrics and sustainable performance improvements. Represent Medtronic in the community and in professional organizations at a local or regional level. Qualifications – External Must Have: Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree required. Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience with 10+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience with 10 years of managerial experience. Nice to Have Degree in Engineering or Technical Sciences. Medical Device Manufacturing experience. Breadth of background across numerous roles/functions within Manufacturing and Supply Chain with demonstrated success in each area. DMAIC Lean / Six Sigma Certification. Proven track record of delivering results in a high‑performance continuous improvement environment. Plant manager experience in a large manufacturing facility. Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing systems. Demonstrated ability to develop and successfully execute a strategy. Proven track record of building organizational capability and talent. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated success in a matrix organization. Excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to interact with all levels of employees. Experience in leading large‑scale change management.
