What the role is: The primary role of the successful candidate includes the planning, design and construction supervision of mechanical services including sanitary, plumbing, gas, air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation systems, integrated building management system, fire-fighting systems, etc. for public housing development. What you will be working on: Your key responsibilities will include preparation and submission of detailed designs, tender drawings, technical specifications and documents to regulatory authorities for approval when required. After which, you will be required to project manage the installation of the Mechanical systems during the construction stage until the final hand over of the project. You will be required to sign as an Mechanical Qualified Professional for HDB's in house design projects. You will also be given opportunity to carry out research & development studies to provide innovative solutions related to improvement of energy efficiency and alternative waste management systems such as Waste to Energy systems, Centralised Cooling Systems etc. What we are looking for: Possesses a background in Mechanical Engineering and a registered Mechanical Professional Engineer with the Professional Engineers Board (Singapore) with at least 8 years of experience in the industry. Have a positive attitude, the ability to handle challenges and good interpersonal and communication skills. Candidates must be able to work independently with a sound knowledge of the relevant codes, design and construction practices. Past experience in BIM Revit/ArchiCad & VDC methodology, would be an advantage. Successful candidates will be offered a 2-year contract as a start.
