Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mobility Expert to join our team at Careers@Gov. In this senior-level position, you will be responsible for leading the planning, engineering design, implementation, and review of walking and cycling-related schemes in Singapore.

You will work closely with government agencies and stakeholders to spearhead projects that enhance the travel experience of commuters, cyclists, and pedestrians, creating an improved environment for active mobility. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Developing professional advice for developers, consultants, and other government agencies on related projects and studies;
  • Providing input on highway design and transportation-related fields;
  • Leading initiatives and collaborating with the community and various stakeholders to drive positive change;
  • Conducting assessments and evaluations to inform project decisions;

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or Master's degree in Traffic/Transportation Engineering;
  • At least 2 years of experience in Traffic/Transportation-related or operational fields, including familiarity with highway design;
  • Strong initiative, good communication, and leadership skills with lateral thinking ability;
  • Pleasant personality and strong interpersonal skills;
  • Independent and self-motivated, with the ability to interact effectively with staff of different levels;
  • A Class 3 driving license is preferred, as well as knowledge in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, ArcGIS, Bentley MicroStation/AutoCAD.

As part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.

We offer a competitive salary package for this position, estimated to be around SGD $8,500 per month, based on industry standards and market conditions. This figure is subject to change and may vary depending on individual qualifications and experience.
