Swim Coach

This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team, shaping the lives of young swimmers through expert coaching and guidance.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in competitive coaching, with experience in leading age group swimmers. This role requires effective communication skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To develop and execute coaching plans that align with the club's swimming vision and mission.
  • To plan daily training sessions, instruct swimmers in swim skills, and establish effective communication with their squad and staff members.
  • To assist in communication with parents of swimmers for all matters related to training and administration.
  • To work with athletes and their parents on goal setting, understanding long-term development, and training week planning.
  • To supervise athletes at competitions through warm-ups/swim-down and race feedback.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years of competitive coaching experience, preferably with age group swimmers.
  • National Registry of Coaches (NROC) Level 1 Coach or above certification.
  • A valid First Aid and CPR-AED certification.
  • Experience in both Learn-to-Swim and Developmental Coaching.
  • Strong knowledge of the technical aspects of the 4 swimming strokes and the Individual Medley.
  • Good communication and leadership skills are essential for success in this role.
