We are seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the role of Research and Statistics Specialist. This is a 3-month contract position starting in August 2025.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and analyzing surveys. They will also provide data insights and recommendations to support policy formulation and review.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement surveys, including sampling, questionnaire design, fieldwork, and data processing
- Analyse data to derive insights and propose recommendations
- Apply data science techniques to extract deeper insights from datasets
- Support data management initiatives
- Conduct environmental scanning or literature reviews on relevant research topics
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum degree qualification
- Background or experience in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Behavioural Science, or related fields
- Proficiency in programming languages such as R or Python
- Strong interest and skills in data analysis and visualisation
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Interest in environmental issues
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders concurrently
Benefits
- Duration: 3 months
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 42 hours per week
- Salary: From $20.80/hour, commensurate with qualifications
