Job Description\

The role of a Risk Protection Specialist involves monitoring and maintaining the security posture of an organization to prevent breaches and vulnerabilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and administering security tools, such as Identity Access Management (IAM), Data Activity Monitoring (DAM), and key management systems.\
  • Responding to and triaging security alerts generated from these tools in a timely manner.\
  • Performing regular security scans and testing using vulnerability assessment tools.\
  • Tracking and reporting on identified vulnerabilities and risks, ensuring timely patching and resolution.\
  • Evaluating the applicability of new security vulnerabilities to organizational components, tracking status until closure.\
  • Collaborating on process development and streamlining security operations.

\Required Skills and Qualifications\

To excel in this position, you should possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or Business, or equivalent.\
  • 1-3 years of experience with common security tools like IAM, DAM, and vulnerability assessment tools.\
  • Security certifications, particularly AWS Cloud certification, are desirable but not mandatory.\
  • Strong understanding of security control principles, including Segregation of Duties (SOD).\
  • Adept at identifying security gaps and contributing to problem-solving initiatives.
