Senior Alumni Development Specialist

The Senior Alumni Development Specialist plays a pivotal role in fostering relationships with the University's Chinese alumni residing in and outside Singapore. This involves planning, organizing, and delivering bilingual alumni-focused programs, events, and activities that promote engagement and community building.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage the University's Chinese alumni residing in Singapore or China to foster strong relationships and encourage participation in university activities.
  • Collaborate with alumni and Chinese alumni groups to create a collegial community that promotes mutual support and exchange.
  • Support overseas alumni leaders in areas of communication and administration to ensure effective coordination and decision-making.
  • Curate and organize alumni events for Chinese alumni in Singapore and key cities in China to provide opportunities for networking and knowledge sharing.
  • Generate bilingual original content for social media posts with news and events to keep alumni informed and engaged.
  • Propose and execute effective engagement strategies to steward and support Chinese alumni more efficiently, leveraging their skills and expertise to benefit the university community.
  • Collaborate with other NUS colleagues on alumni activities where relevant, ensuring seamless integration and coordination.
  • Support other OAR activities as needed, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Requirements:

  • A recognized degree with at least 7 years of work experience, preferably in engagement, partnerships, or marketing, demonstrating a proven track record of success in building and maintaining relationships.
  • A self-starter who is creative, resourceful, and good with people, with excellent communication and diplomacy skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in English and Mandarin, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages to effectively engage Chinese-speaking alumni and produce bilingual content.
  • Good project management skills, meticulous and attentive to details, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hands-on, adaptable, and able to travel beyond regular office hours and on weekends when necessary.
