The Operations Manager - Production Optimization is a critical role responsible for driving process improvements and leading high-performing production teams. This position involves overseeing daily operations, capacity planning, and machine optimization to meet customer requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage daily production, including capacity planning, machine optimization, and implementing efficiency improvement initiatives
- Lead and motivate production teams to achieve schedules and support customer demands
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment by enforcing 6S standards and promoting discipline among team members
- Oversee consumable spending, delivery metrics, capacity planning, risk assessment, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) to drive business growth
- Support Lean/Kaizen initiatives and conduct routine cell and tool box meetings to foster collaboration and continuous improvement
- Maintain a motivated and disciplined workforce, promoting a positive working environment to enhance employee morale and productivity
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve production/quality issues and identify opportunities for process improvements
- Manage the accurate updating of ERP systems (e.g., Syteline) to ensure data integrity and informed decision-making
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field
- Minimum 5 years of machining experience in a manufacturing industry, with a strong background in production management and optimization
- Able to work in rotating shifts if required, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility
