Job Title: Purchasing Officer and Administrative Assistant

Our organization seeks a detail-oriented Purchasing Officer and Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Description:
The Purchasing Officer and Administrative Assistant is responsible for monitoring daily communications and responding to any queries in a timely manner. This includes preparing price lists, obtaining quotations for materials, and working with spreadsheets, sales, and purchase ledgers and journals. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for recording and filing cash transactions, controlling credit, and chasing debt. The role also involves processing expense requests for the accountant's approval, ordering materials, and liaising with clients and suppliers.

Responsibilities:
* Monitoring daily communications and responding to queries
* Preparing price lists and obtaining quotations for materials
* Working with spreadsheets, sales, and purchase ledgers and journals
* Recording and filing cash transactions
* Controlling credit and chasing debt
* Processing expense requests for the accountant's approval
* Ordering materials
* Liaising with clients and suppliers

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You should have a strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures, including accounts payable and inventory management. Strong communication and negotiation skills are also essential, as you will be required to interact with clients and suppliers on a regular basis. In addition, proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is required.
