Purchaser & Administrative Support Specialist
The Purchaser and Administrative Support Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of project teams by handling purchasing, administrative tasks, and vendor relationships. This individual must possess excellent negotiation, management, and leadership skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchasing Materials: Procure materials from suppliers while evaluating quality, cost, and delivery requirements
- Supplier Relationship Management: Research and negotiate contracts with suppliers, maintaining accurate purchasing records
- Project Support: Liaise with project managers to monitor inventory, ensure compliance with policies, and contribute to cost-effective strategies
- Vendor and Client Liaison: Maintain relationships with vendors and clients, resolving complaints and communicating project activities
- Administrative Duties: Perform tasks such as filing, sorting, printing, and storage of project documents
- Team Support: Provide professional administrative support to project teams and handle public relations issues
- Cash Handling: Manage project petty cash and perform other assigned duties
Requirements:
- NITEC / GCE 'O' level / GCE 'N' level qualification
- Minimum 2 years working experience in administration, preferably in a construction environment
- Strong computer skills, understanding of words, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Able to work independently with initiative and adapt to fast-paced environments
- Multi-tasking and stress-handling abilities
