Informatics Manager Role

The Informatics Manager will lead the strategic planning, upgrade, and deployment of clinical IT systems in close collaboration with end-users and vendors.

  • They will manage the annual IT roadmap, including procurement activities and overall project delivery.
  • As a Credentialed Trainer, they will conduct onboarding sessions for new clinical system users.
  • They will review and evaluate system change requests, resolve technical issues, and implement necessary configuration updates.
  • Ensuring secure and efficient integration between internal and external systems is another key responsibility.
  • The candidate will drive improvements in system functionality, focusing on cloud adoption and workflow automation.
  • They will manage departmental IT assets and coordinate requirements for data analysis and reporting.
  • Overseeing vendor contracts while ensuring adherence to SOPs and compliance with audit standards is also part of this role.
  • Identifying, recommending, and deploying digital or AI-based solutions to improve operational efficiency is another crucial task.
  • Assisting in monitoring performance metrics and supporting process improvement efforts is also expected.
  • Lastly, the Informatics Manager will participate in interdepartmental and cross-institutional informatics initiatives.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related healthcare discipline is required.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in informatics, systems support, or healthcare IT is necessary.
  • Prior experience with EPIC systems is highly preferred.
  • Strong expertise in several areas, including but not limited to, project management, IT operations, and technical training.
