The Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) System Specialist role based in Bangalore requires a detail-oriented and analytical professional to manage and optimize the pharmacy benefit management system and masters. Your responsibilities will include ensuring system accuracy, compliance, and alignment with market practices. To excel in this role, you must have a strong grasp of pharmacy coding systems, data interoperability standards, and possess exceptional analytical and communication skills.Key Responsibilities:- Code Management: Review, validate, and update drug codes in the master drug database. Ensure timely updates to the tariff for accurate claims processing.- Clinical Review: Evaluate medical necessity, drug interactions, and contraindications for patient safety.- Audit and Compliance: Monitor submissions to prevent tariff abuse and ensure regulatory compliance.- Trend Analysis: Analyze drug consumption patterns to identify cost-saving opportunities and formulary optimization.- Tariff Updates: Conduct periodic reviews of tariff structures and recommend updates for competitive pricing.- FHIR Standard Support: Assist in integrating the PBM system with Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) standards.- Data Analysis and Reporting: Provide actionable insights through data analysis and utilize analytics tools for system performance.Qualifications:Required:- Bachelor's degree in pharmacy, healthcare administration, health informatics, or related field.- Strong knowledge of pharmacy benefit management systems and healthcare coding systems.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Preferred:- Advanced degree or certification in pharmacy, health informatics, or related field.- Prior experience in pharmacy or healthcare settings.- Familiarity with FHIR standards and data interoperability.- Proficiency in data analytics tools and reporting software.Key Competencies:- Analytical thinking and data interpretation.- Attention to detail and organizational skills.- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.This is a full-time position based in Bangalore with benefits including health insurance and provident fund.
